Google PageRank - sebagai indikasi tingkat kepopuleran

Google pagerank adalah suatu  fitur indikator yang di miliki Google yang berfungsi untuk mengetahui tingkat kepopuleran suatu blog atau website, dimana kepopuleran suatu blog atau website di dasarkan pada berapa banyak link yang mengarah ke blog atau situs tersebut.

Di sini Google akan memberikan penilaian sebuah blog atau website yang di mulai dari angka nol sampai 10, semakin tinggi nilai pagerank suatu blog/website dengan demikian situs tersebut memiliki tingkat kepopuleran yang sangat tinggi karena banyaknya link atau lalu lintas traffic yang menuju ke website atau situs tersebut, dalam hal ini situs tersebut ramai karena sering di kunjungi atau banyak memiliki pengunjung.

Sebenarnya sistem penilaian tingkat kepopuleran suatu situs tidak hanya menggunakan Google pagerank tapi bisa juga menggunakan Alexa rank, dimana penilaian yang di lakukan oleh Alexa tidak sama dengan Google pagerank tapi intinya tetap sama, yakni menilai/menghitung berapa banyak link atau traffic yang menuju ke situs tersebut. dengan kata lain sampai seberapa tinggi tingkat kepopuleran suatu blog atau website di mata Google atau Alexa dengan banyaknya pengunjung ke situs tersebut.

Sekarang bagaimana cara kita mengetahui nilai Google pagerank blog kita. Dalam hal ini kita akan masuk ke situs penyedia layanan cek pagerank yakni, http://cekpagerank.info dari sini kita akan mengetahui berapa nilai dari Google pagerank sekaligus nilai dari Alexa rank blog kita.
